Arizona State Fair: October 10th – November 2nd

The Arizona State Fair’s eclectic concert lineup means that there’s something for every type of music fan. This year, there will be performances by Sublime with Rome, Darius Rucker, Wiz Khalifa, and the Barenaked Ladies. There’s also a Milking Parlor, where you can watch an educational video about Arizona’s dairy farmers; or for something slightly more exciting, check out the midway rides, featuring roller coasters, a Tilt-A-Whirl, and more. The 18 days are jammed packed with tons of kickin’ concerts, adrenaline-pumping rides, deliciously sinful foods, exhibits and livestock shows, and more! Plan to attend the Arizona State Fair, taking place from October 10th through November 2nd, the fair will be open Wednesday through Sunday – Mark your calendar!

2014 NJCAA Men’s Division I Soccer National Championship

The 2014 NJCAA Division one National Soccer Tournament is COMING TO Prescott and tournament passes are on sale now! Pass will allow admittance to all of the 15 matches at both venues, Ken Lindley Field in Prescott and Mountain Valley Park in Prescott Valley. Tournament play starts November 18th. The Boys and Girls Club of Central Az & The Channel 12 Shred-A-Thon

Friday, October 24, 2014 The Boys and Girls Club of Central Arizona & The Channel 12 are teaming up to bring the annual Shred-A-Thon to Prescott. The event will take place at the Walmart Supercenter (Hwy 69) from 9:00am 6:00pm. Bring down your old records and receipts containing personal information to be shredded as well as old TV’s, pc’s, laptops, cell phones, monitors, etc. First 5 boxes (banker box size) will be shredded for free. Additional boxes will be taken for $3 per box with all proceeds benefiting Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Arizona. There will be a $5 charge for CRT televisions and CRT monitors however all other electronic devices will be accepted without fee. A donation may be given to benefit Boys and Girls Clubs for all recycling.

3rd Annual AZ Firefighter’s Chili Cook Off

The 3rd Annual Firefighter Chili cook-off is a fundraiser for Groom creek Firefighters association as well as Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Come to the event to taste some of our Arizona firefighters’ best chili, buy a pie and enjoy fun for the whole family. The event takes place at the SKY-Y Camp 5725 S. Prescott Courthouse Pumpkin Patch and Carnival
